Spring has brought welcome news for the Zevenwacht team, with three wines earning Top 10 recognition across the 2026 Prescient Fund Services Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon Reports, convened by Winemag.co.za.
Our Estate Chardonnay 2025 and Z Collection Chardonnay 2025 both secured places in the Chardonnay Top 10, scoring 95 points and 94 points respectively. Completing the trio, our Z Collection Reserve 2024 earned 93 points and a place in the Cabernet Sauvignon Top 10.
A double celebration for Chardonnay
Having two wines recognised in the same Top 10 makes this year’s Chardonnay results particularly special for us.
The Zevenwacht Estate Chardonnay 2025, awarded 95 points, shares the highest numerical score in the report. Alongside it, the Zevenwacht Z Collection Chardonnay 2025 achieved 94 points, bringing recognition to both our Estate and Z Collection ranges. Both wines carry the Polkadraai Hills designation, placing our home firmly among the origins represented in this year’s selection.
For our vineyard and cellar teams, these results are a rewarding acknowledgement of the care that goes into each vintage, from tending the vines through to the final decisions in the cellar.
Cabernet Sauvignon completes the trio
Our Zevenwacht Z Collection Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2024 completes the celebration with 93 points in the Prescient Fund Services Cabernet Sauvignon Report 2026. Its Top 10 inclusion brings a red wine into the mix and gives us another reason to be proud of the wines coming from our Polkadraai Hills vineyards.
The reports assess wines through blind tasting by a three-person panel, using a 100-point scoring system. With labels out of sight, the focus is on what each wine delivers in the glass.
These three awards are a moment to celebrate the people behind our wines and to thank everyone who continues to choose Zevenwacht for their tables, collections and celebrations.
